Heart of Midlothian host Aberdeen in a fixture that has become dominated by the home side. It has been nearly nine years and 26 games since an away win.
But let's not focus on that, on the past. The here and now is far more important than some quirk. Hearts have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to seven points before Rangers host Celtic the following day.
It has not been straightforward in terms of preparation for Derek McInnes. Despite extending their lead last weekend, the team have been hit by injuries. At training on Wednesday, there was a full XI unable to take part.
When the Hearts head coach spoke to the press that morning, it wasn't clear whether Oisin McEntee, Beni Baningime and Sabah Kerjota would be available for selection.
"It's not always been a bed of roses. Sometimes games have been a bit more straightforward than others and you win games and it's all a bit kind of seamless and it's a nice position to be in, team selection, winning a game, you can go to the next week, not really too much to think about and everything's in a good place," McInnes said.
"But management's not about that. Management, I think, is dealing with difficult situations. It's important you've got the players to deal with that. You've got the kind of courage of your convictions that we can still win games. And that's probably where we are at the minute because of the context of the season and the injuries.
"Injuries are fair from ideal, but I'm well aware my players are going to be listening to what I'm saying and reading what I'm saying and I'm not really dwelling on it too much. We're without key players, but we've also got good players ready to come in."
There could be a really straightforward decision for McInnes. Select the same starting XI that won against Falkirk, with Jamie McCart the natural replacement for Stuart Findlay, who was ruled out for six weeks with a hamstring injury.
That would mean a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1.
Other options within that shape include Jordi Altena replacing Michael Steinwender at right-back, if McInnes wants more of an attacking threat from the position. But, as explained in an article on Friday, the Austrian fulfils a key role in terms of the balance between defence and attack that the Hearts head coach likes.
Baningime would be a strong contender for a midfield role if he proves his fitness, while McInnes really likes McEntee in his starting XI. That could be in midfield, replacing Tomas Magnusson or Blair Spittal, or a return to right-back.
A possible consideration, especially if both Baningime and McEntee are unavailable, would be 4-4-2 with Magnusson dropping out for Landry Kabore.
In this writer's view, that would present the option for being more direct, causing more chaos and asking plenty of questions of an Aberdeen side that are lacking options in defence and general consistency.
The Dons will like play some version of 4-3-3 with their midfield perhaps their strongest area, with the tenacious Graeme Shinnie providing a platform for Lyall Cameron and Dennis Geiger.
Hearts will want to start the game on the front foot with plenty of intensity and tempo, which would engage the crowd straight away and ask plenty of questions of an Aberdeen side that could have nine different players start the game compared to the XI that started the opening game of the season.
The Dons have not been and are not in a great moment, trailing Hearts by 31 points. How would they react under pressure, both on the field and from the stands?
A front four of Claudio Braga, Kabore, Islam Chesnokov and Alexandros Kyziridis would be chaotic, busy, direct and full of energy. It would allow McInnes options from the bench to come on later to provide more control if the team can get in front and in a good position.
Whatever XI is picked, it will get the backing of a raucous home support.
