Kris Boyd has poked fun at Celtic over their decision to appeal Auston Trusty's red card against Heart of Midlothian.
The Parkhead club this evening confirmed they will be appealing the sending off of the centre-back at Tynecastle yesterday, after a VAR intervention saw an initial yellow upgraded to red for tripping the goal-bound Landry Kabore.
Martin O'Neill had criticised the decision post-match and around 24 hours later Celtic confirmed the club's stance was similar.
Their statement read: "We can confirm that Celtic Football Club will be submitting an appeal to the SFA in relation to the red card imposed on Auston Trusty, following the intervention of VAR during Sunday’s match at Tynecastle."

Responding on his Instagram stories, Boyd joked: "We can confirm that Heart of Midlothian FC will be submitting an appeal to the SFA asking why the red card wasn't shown straight away."
The former Rangers striker had already given his views on Sky Sports, agreeing with Craig Levein that the correct decision was finally reached.
He said: "I can totally understand why Steven McLean gave a yellow card because he then has to go and look at it. It's a great example of VAR working in Scotland.
"If that foul wasn't committed, would Kabore, the attacker, have gained possession of the ball and been able to head towards goal and be able to get a shot away? The answer is yes. So it falls into the red category.
"Martin can go on about it all he wants, speak about blue cards, it is a red card all day long. He's maybe a little bit disappointed that his team haven't left here with three points, but that is the laws of the game and it is a red card.
"He's maybe a little bit shocked that Celtic get a red card because it doesn't happen in Scottish football that often, but ultimately the laws of the game, because it's the truth, the laws of the game tell you it's a red card."
